Mangochi MP Survives Terrible Road Accident

Honourable Benedicto Chambo (45) , a Member of Parliament (MP) for Mangochi North constituency has sustained injuries following his involvement in a terrible road accident.

Chambo met the fate yesterday at Matuwi Village along Monkey bay-Mangochi road.

According to Mangochi police station public relations officer Rodrick Maida, the MP was driving a motor vehicle registration number MH 6678, Toyota Prado VX station wagon from the direction of Monkey-bay heading towards Mangochi Boma.

Upon arrival at Matuwi Village, Chambo lost control of the motor vehicle and eventually overturned several times.

He was treated at Mangochi District Hospital as an out-patient.

Chambo comes from Lulanga Village in Traditional Authority Makanjira in Mangochi.
