Muslim MP" Yusuf Nthenda" Elected Parley Legal Committee Chairperson

Muslim Lawyer Yusuf Nthenda who is also the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mulanje West has been elected as Chairperson of Legal Affairs Committee of the Malawi Parliament Malawi Muslim Website can report.

Nthenda has confirmed the development in an interview with Malawi Muslim Website.

"Yes, it is very true that I have been elected as the Chairperson of Legal Affairs Committee of Parliament," Nthenda told Malawi Muslim Website.

In 2019 parliamentary elections, Nthenda defeated UTM party Secretary General Patricia Kaliati under the ticket of the former ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP).

Nthenda holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Malawi Institute of Legal Education.

He also holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from Institute of Legal Practice & Amp; Development (ILPD), Rwanda Institute of Legal Practice & Development (ILPD),and Bachelor of Laws (LLB) (Hons) from the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU).
